409 Appliances – Service Call Terms

By scheduling or accepting a service visit from 409 Appliances, you agree to the following terms:

1. What the service call includes

A service call includes the technician’s trip to your location, basic inspection of the appliance, diagnosis of the problem, and an estimate for repair.  

The service call fee does not include any parts or repair labor.

2. Service call fee

• The service call fee is 75.00 per visit.

• The service call fee is due at the time of the visit, even if you decide not to repair the appliance.

• The service call fee is not refundable and is not a deposit.

• If the technician finds the appliance working normally or cannot find a problem, the service call fee still applies.

3. Access to the appliance

• The appliance must be installed and accessible when the technician arrives.

• If the technician cannot access the unit (blocked, built‑in, full of items, etc.), the visit may be rescheduled and the service call fee may still apply.

4. Moving the appliance

• Sometimes we must move the appliance to work on it. Moving appliances can risk scratches or damage to floors, walls, or cabinets.

• We will be careful, but you accept this risk and are responsible for protecting floors and surroundings (mats, cardboard, etc.).

5. Repairs and payment

• After diagnosis, we will give you an estimate for parts and labor.

• If you approve the repair, repair charges are in addition to the 75.00 service call fee.

• Payment for the service call and any repair is due when the work is completed, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

6. Warranty on repairs – 30 days

• Repairs made by 409 Appliances are warranted for 30 days from the repair date for the same problem and the specific parts we replaced.

• The warranty does not cover new or different problems, misuse, power surges, leaks, or damage caused by others after our visit.

7. Limitation of liability

• Our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for that specific service call and repair.

• We are not responsible for food loss, loss of use, or other indirect or consequential damages
